A number of derivatives of the bicyclic pyrido[2,1-f]triazine system 4 and 5 have been prepared by reaction of N-amido-2-ethoxicarbonyl-4,6-diphenylpyridinium tetrafluoroborates 3 with hydrazine and hydroxylamine, respectively.
