Sobald in einer Studie ein Zusammenhang zwischen zwei Variablen gefunden wird, stellt sich häufig die Frage nach den vermittelnden Mechanismen (Mediatoren) dieses Zusammenhangs. Aber ist das Vorhandensein so eines Zusammenhangs überhaupt eine Voraussetzung, um auf Mediation prüfen zu können? Und wie kann man am einfachsten eine Mediationsanalyse durchführen?
