Aijaz Ahmed Sofi et al. Meta-analysis of the performance of ultrathin vs. standard colonoscopes
This systematic review and meta-analysis investigating the performance of ultrathin vs. standard colonoscopes included 2191 patients from 7 studies. Results showed that the newer ultrathin colonoscopes help to improve cecal intubation rates and reduce abdominal pain but do not affect polyp and adenoma detection rates. Colonoscope performance in therapeutic endoscopy needs further study.Quality:
