Im Allgemeinen gehört für Kinder der Besuch beim Zahnarzt nicht zu ihren Lieblingsbeschäftigungen. Es ist nicht nur die Angst vor dem Ungewissen, sondern häufig auch die Angst vor Nadeln und Spritzen, die Unbehagen bei den Kindern auslöst. Allerdings gehört gerade eine wirksame Schmerzkontrolle zu den Grundvoraussetzungen, damit ein junger Patient Vertrauen zum Zahnarzt aufbauen kann.
