Mittlerweile gibt es zahlreiche endoskopische Therapieformen, doch ihr Evidenzgrad ist kaum durch randomisierte Studien belegt. Indirekte Evidenz gibt es hingegen reichlich – nicht selten als exzellente Ergebnisse aus Zuweisungszentren, die sich dadurch weitere Zuweisungen erhoffen. So stößt die wissenschaftliche Qualität dieser Veröffentlichungen manchmal an ihre Grenzen.
