Abstract

Jeder Dritte leidet an einer Pathologie der Glandulathyreoidea, in vielen Fällen bleibt sie unerkannt. Anamnese, Palpation, Laborwerte, Sono- und Szintigraphie bilden die Basisdiagnostik morphologischer wie auch funktioneller Schilddrüsenerkrankungen. Iodmangelstruma und Knoten sind dabei die wichtigsten Stichworte morphologischer Störungen. Funktionell kann eine Hypothyreose mittels L-Thyroxin ausgeglichen werden, die Hyperthyreose verlangt nach einer definitiven Therapie. Der M. Basedow als Sonderfall wird initial 6-18 Monate konservativ behandelt.
