Precision medicine is a new medical concept and medical model developed on the basis of individualized medical treatment, along with the rapid progress of genome sequencing technology and the cross application of biological information and big data science. We hope to use this idea in head and neck surgery to cure more specific patients. There are three common treatments(surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy) for head and neck tumors. Most head and neck cancer patients underwent surgery and postoperative radiotherapy was performed. This procedure becomes a standardized treatment process nowadays. But some patients with minimal tumors do not want to accept traditional surgery because of big trauma, and other patients with advanced tumors, they cannot undergo surgery due to bad general condition, how to choose the most reasonable treatment according to the patient's general and local conditions is a problem that the head and neck surgeons need to discuss. Through case analysis, this paper discusses the precision medicine in head and neck cancer treatment according to the TNM classification.
