Summary

This case report describes a traumatic fracture of the lesser tuberosity of the humerus in a one-year-old dog. Conservative management failed to allow healing, and pronounced medial instability of the shoulder and partial rupture of the biceps brachii tendon developed. Tenodesis of the biceps brachii tendon and repair of the fractured lesser tuberosity by lag screw fixation resulted in a complete recovery of limb function.
