Für das fortgeschrittene Melanom in den Stadien IIB/C und IIIA-C wird eine adjuvante Behandlung mit Interferon-α empfohlen. Sie verbessert das krankheitsfreie überleben und hat darüber hinaus einen tendenziell günstigen Effekt auf das Gesamtüberleben. Details wurden auf dem 2nd European Post-Chicago Melanoma Meeting in München diskutiert.
