Zusammenfassung

Die Ursachen der Rotatorenmanschettenerkrankungen können vielfältig sein und wurden lange undifferenziert zusammengefasst. Mittlerweile ist es u.a. durch Arbeiten von Codman (3), welcher zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts die Bedeutung des Subakromialraumes und der Rotatorenmanschette herausarbeitete, und Charles Neer (17), welcher zu Beginn der siebziger Jahre das Impingementsyndrom konzeptionell darstellte, zu einer differenzierten Entfächerung des Begriffs der “Periarthritis humeroscapularis” gekommen. Der Behandler sollte die Erscheinungsformen kennen und mittels klinischer, bildgebender und arthrosko- pischer Diagnostik unterscheiden. Im vorliegenden Übersichtsartikel soll der “State of the Art” in der Therapie von Impingementsyndrom,Tendinosis calcarea und Rotatorenmanschettenläsionen als Momentaufnahme dargestellt werden.

Summary

The causes of rotator cuffdisorders can be multifaceted and they were summarized undifferentiated. Codman’s treatise on the subacromial space and the rotator cuff at the beginning of the 20th century and Charles Neer’s introduction of his concept of“impingement” in 1972 led to a disentanglement of the formerly widespread used term“periarthritis humeroscapularis”. The physician should know all manifestations and distinguish them by clinical diagnosis, imaging techniques and arthroscopy. This article presents an update on treatment concepts for impingement syndrome, calcifying tendonitis, partial-thickness and fullthickness rotator cuff ruptures
