A five-year-old boy with Down syndrome was presented for homeopathic treatment, due to a severe atopic dermatitis. In the past he was submitted to multiple allopathic treatments, including corticoids and immunosuppressors. He also suffered a chronic anemia by vitamin B12 deficiency, hypothyroidism and chronic constipation. He was medicated with opium 1 M following the first appointment at the Homeopathic League of Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in October 2015. He suffered an aggravation without any improvement. One week later, he was given graphites 1 M with excellent clinical results. After 8 months of evolution, with periodical use of graphites in ascendent potencies, he had a normal blood count and normal laboratory tests for thyroid hormones and had no constipation or skin problems.
