Identification and introduction of plant diversity in each climate to preservation of natural sources and plant production is very important. The studied mountain region is located in 51o 22' N to 51o 30' longitude and 35o 49' E to 35o 53' latitude in north Tehran. The highest altitude is Touchal peak 3960 meters above the sea level and the lowest altitude is Darabad village 1760 meters. The annual average rainfall is 200 – 400 millimeters. The present study was done to introduce medicinal trees and shrubs of south slopes of Touchal elevations. The species were collected during 2006 – 2009 frequently, then they were identified again exactly by local and regional Floras and other reliable resources. Seventy trees and shrubs species were identified among of 46 genera belong to 26 families. The gathered list of medicinal species was adjusted with herbal medicines guides. Then the medicinal ones were divided and classified in another list. Fifty-four medicinal species were identified among of 73 medicinal species from 73 genera belong to 25 families. The largest plant family was Rosaceae with 22 species.
