In den letzten Jahren sind mehrere Studien erschienen, die sich mit der Frage beschäftigen, ob gestillte Kinder bei Sprach- und Intelligenztests besser abschneiden als ihre mit der Flasche ernährten Altersgenossen. Die Studienergebnisse können dazu beitragen, die Motivation der Mütter zum Stillen zu fördern.
