Einleitung

Ganglioneurome sind seltene, meist benigne Tumoren, die typischerweise über einen langen Zeitraum asymptomatisch sind. Sie werden meist als Zufallsbefunde im Rahmen von Routineuntersuchungen entdeckt. Die häufigsten Lokalisationen sind das hintere Mediastinum und das Retroperitoneum. Da es bildgebend wenige zuverlässige Zeichen für diesen Tumor gibt, gestaltet sich die präoperative Diagnosestellung oftmals schwierig. Anhand dieses Fallberichts diskutieren wir die Diagnostik und die operative Therapie eines großen Ganglioneuroms des Retroperitonealraums einschließlich dessen pathologischer Aufarbeitung und besprechen die Empfehlungen aus der Literatur.
