Zusammenfassung

Die topische Therapie im Kindesalter weist gegenüber der Dermatotherapie des Erwachsenen einige Besonderheiten auf. Die epidermale Barriereschicht entspricht bereits beim reifen Neugeborenen zwar der des Erwachsenen, jedoch bestehen Unterschiede in der Absorption, Metabolisierung und Elimination von Wirkstoffen. Die folgende Übersicht soll eine Hilfestellung bei der Auswahl topischer Externa für die Basistherapie sowie bei der Anwendung von Hilfs- und Wirkstoffen im Kindesalter bieten.

Abstract

Topical treatment of children differs from dermatotherapy for adults. Despite of complete development of an epidermal barrier in newborns, several distinctions in absorption, metabolism and elimination of pharmaceutics have to be taken into account.

This survey intends to help the selection of basic external therapeutics for pediatric patients considering risk and benefit of pharmaceutics and excipients.
