Die Konzepte der perioperativen Ernährungs- und Infusionstherapie sind in den letzten Jahren teilweise einem grundlegenden Wandel unterzogen worden. Der vorliegende Beitrag hat das Ziel, die Untersuchungsergebnisse der letzten Jahre zusammenzufassen und die aktuellen Konzepte für den klinischen Alltag darzustellen und zu erläutern.

Mittagessen für die Patienten: Noch am Operationstag ist eine orale Ernährung nach allgemeinchirurgischen Eingriffen möglich (Bild: Thieme Verlagsgruppe, Fotograf: Bert Bostelmann).
