Retraction notice

The paper “Children and adolescents with posttraumatic shoulder instability benefit from arthroscopic stabilization. Eur J Pediatr Surg 2010;20:253–256” by Kraus R et al has been found to be published twice simultaneously in two journals, European Journal of Pediatric Surgery (EJPS) and the Knee Surgery Sports Traumatology Arthroscopy (KSSTA). The two papers represent a near total double publication – 75% of the wording in the two papers are exactly the same with no attempt to even paraphrase. There is a difference in the length of follow-up but otherwise the reports are exactly the same, looking at the same patients and material over the same time period.

For these reasons the European Journal of Pediatric Surgery hereby gives notice that the paper has been retracted in accordance with COPE guidelines.
