Plattenepithelkarzinom der Bindehaut mit Orbitabeteiligung

Hintergrund

Das konjunktivale Plattenepithelkarzinom ist zwar (insbesondere in der nicht immunsupprimierten Bevölkerung) selten, jedoch der häufigste maligne konjunktivale Tumor, er wächst lokal destruktiv und ist meistens in der Lidspalte nasal oder temporal des Limbus lokalisiert [1] [2] [3]. In der immunsupprimierten Bevölkerung (z. B. bei HIV-Patienten) wird das konjunktivale Plattenepithelkarzinom jedoch immer häufiger [4]. Es handelt sich um einen langsam wachsenden Tumor niedriger Malignität, der de novo oder aus einer konjunktivalen intraepithelialen Neoplasie entstehen kann [5]. Das konjunktivale Plattenepithelkarzinom ist charakterisiert durch einen Durchbruch durch die Basalmembran oder Metastasierung in andere Organe [2]. Es imponiert klinisch als milchig weißliche, teilweise noch durchsichtige, papillomatöse oder gelatinöse wenig prominente Bindehautverdickung [5], die häufig ein Versorgungsgefäß hat.
