Das Plasmozytom des Magens

Zusammenfassung

Bei einem 50jährigen Patienten wurden mehrmals innerhalb von 2 Jahren röntgenologisch Faltenwulstungen im Magenantrum gefunden, gastroskopisch und bioptisch die Diagnose „Oberflächengastritis“ gestellt. Erst 6œ Jahre nach Beschwerdebeginn erneute Röntgenuntersuchung, Gastroskopie und Biopsie: Verdacht auf malignen Tumor. Die Diagnose „Magenplasmozytom“ kann histologisch erst aus dem Operationspräparat gestellt werden. Anhand dieser Beobachtung werden die charakteristischen Kriterien des seltenen Krankheitsbildes beschrieben und eine Literaturübersicht gegeben.

Summary

Over a period of two years, enlarged folds in the gastric antrum were found on several occasions, during barium meals, in a 50-year old patient. On gastroscopy and biopsy, the diagnosis of superficial gastritis was made. Six and a half years later the radiological examination, gastroscopy, and biopsy were repeated with suspicion of a malignant tumour. Following histological examination of the resected specimen, the diagnosis of gastric plasmacytoma was made. The features of this rare condition are described and the literature is reviewed.
