Zusammenfassung

Bericht über zwei zerebrale Angiographien mittels Femoraliskatheters mit nachfolgender inkompletter zervikaler Querschnittslähmung. Die Komplikation wird zurückgeführt auf einen erhöhten Kontrastmittelspiegel in den zervikalen spinalen Gefäßen infolge einer Hypoplasie einer Vertebralarterie bzw. einer Kontrastmittelinjektion in den Truncus thyreocervicalis.

Summary

Cerebral angiography with femoral catheters in two patients was followed by an incomplete cervical transverse myelitis. The complications were thought to be due to high contrast concentration in the cervical spinal vessels because of hypoplasia of one vertebral artery, and to contrast injection into the thyrocervical trunk.
