The differential diagnosis of cysts in the posterior cranial fossaPublication History
Publication Date:

Summary
The differential diagnosis of cysts in the posterior cranial fossa is discussed, with reference to five patients. Classification of cysts depends on whether or not they fill during ventriculography or pneumo-encephalography. They may be cystic dilatation of a ventricle, cystic dilatation of a cistern, arachnoid cysts and aplasia of parts of the cerebellum. In addition to the above mentioned investigations using air, diagnosis may depend on angiography and isotope methods.
