Summary
Extensive lymphatic hyperplasia in the gastro-intestinal tract was observed in a patient in whom a subsequent operation revealed widespread abdominal lymphosarcomatosis. This had probably developed through the stages of irreversible hyperplasia and lymphadenosis. The radiological differential diagnosis is discussed. Lymphatic hyperplasia in the gastro-intestinal tract resembling, radiologically, the appearances of polyposis must be regarded as pre-cancerous and therefore the therapeutic consequences must be borne in mind.
