Significance

(S)-(+)-Dapoxetine (Priligy®) is a potent selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor with a short half-life that is used to treat premature ejaculation. The key step in the asymmetric synthesis shown is an asymmetric C-H amination catalyzed by Rh2(R-nap)4.
