Summary

Weekly oral administration of centchroman at 1 and 2.5 mg/kg doses for 3, 6 or 12 months to adult female rhesus monkeys (Macaco, mulatto) significantly decreased glycogen content and activity of phosphorylase, glucokinase, lactate dehydrogenase and glucose 6-phosphate dehydro-genase enzymes in all the genital tract tissues. In general, the inhibition was dose and time dependent. No effect was, however, observed in the liver and serum.
