Zytologische Sputumuntersuchungen bei malignen Lungenrundherden

Zusammenfassung

Die zytologischie Untersuchung des Sputums erweist sich als wichtiges Hilfsmittel für eine schnelle Diagnostik maligner Lungenrundherde. 55,3% von 38 untersuchten malignen Lungenrundherden konnten innerhalb kurzer Zeit richtig erkannt werden. Die Zahl der positiven Befunde wird durch die Anzahl der Untersuchungen und durch geeignete Provokationsmethoden beeinflußt. Hingegen besteht keine Beziehung zwischen Rundherdgröße und zytologischer Nachweisbarkeit.

Summary

More than half (55.3%) of 38 cases of malignant focal lesions of the lung were correctly and quickly diagnosed by cytological examination of the sputum. The rate of positive results was related to the number of examinations and the use of measures which provided an increased amount of sputum. There was no correlation between the size of the focal lesion and the ability to diagnose it by cytological means.

La exploración citológica del esputo resulta ser un importante medio auxiliar para, un diagnóstico rápido de focos pulmonares redondos malignos. 55,3% de 38 focos pulmonares redondos malignos explorados pudieron reconocerse en breve tiempo de un modo acertado. El número de los hallazgos positivos es influido por el número de las exploraciones y por métodos de provocación adecuados. En cambio, no existe ninguna relación entre el tamaño del foco redondo y la comprobabilidad citológica.
