Eine umfassende Exploration des Zwischenhirns mittels elektrischer Reizungen und eine Konfrontation der Reizeffekte mit den Reizorten an in Schnitte zerlegten Gehirnen führen zur Feststellung einer polaren Organisation regulatorischer Dispositive. Die Frage nach der Bedeutung einer solchen Ordnung ist dahin zu beantworten, daß dieses Prinzip, generell eingesetzt, einer weitgefaßten Entwicklung des Gehirns, zugleich einem raschen und ökonomischen Ablauf regulatorischer Prozesse zugute kommt.

Extensive exploration of the mid-brain by electrical stimulation and analysis of the stimulatory effects in terms of the site of stimulation of sectioned brains demonstrated polar organization of regulatory functions. The significance of this arrangement is that it benefits development of the brain and at the same time ensures rapid economic course of regulatory processes.

Una exploración diencefálica general mediante estimulaciones eléctricas y una confrontación del efecto a la excitación con el lugar de excitación en cerebros preparados en cortes llevan a la comprobación de una organisación polar de dispositivos reguladores. La cuestión de la importancia de tal orden se puede responder afirmando que este principio, de implantatión general, favorece el desarrollo del cerebro en sentido amplio y al mismo tiempo el desarrollo rápido y económico de los procesos reguladores.
