Herzchirurgie beim Neugeborenen

Zusammenfassung

Entwicklung und Möglichkeiten der Herzchirurgie im Säuglingsalter werden anhand des Zürcher Materials besprochen. In der Mehrzahl der Fälle wird ein palliativer Eingriff gemacht, um das Überleben der Kinder bis zu einem Alter, in dem eine totale Korrektur vorgenommen werden kann, zu ermöglichen. Die Sterberate im Zusammenhang mit Operation und anschließender Wartezeit ist verhältnismäßig niedrig.

Summary

The development and scope of cardiac surgery in infancy are reviewed, based on the experience gathered at the University Department of Surgery in Zürich. In the majority of cases a palliative procedure was performed in order to enable the children to survive to an age at which total correction is possible. The mortality of the operation and subsequent waiting period before total correction proved to be relatively small.

Cirugía cardíaca en recién nacidos

A base del material quirúrgico de la ciudad de Zurich se comentan el desarrollo y posibilidades de la cirugía cardíaca en la edad de la lactancia. En las mayoría de los casos se hace un tratamiento paliativo, con objeto de lograr una sobrevivencia del niño hasta la edad en que se pueda llevar a cabo una corrección total. El índice de mortalidad en relación con la operación y con el tiempo de espera es relativamente bajo.
