Zusammenfassung
Es wird eine zusammenhängende Geschichte der Aristolochia clematitis als Heilpflanze gegeben.
Die zusammenfassende Schilderung pharmakologischer und therapeutischer Probleme wird durch eigene pharmakologische Untersuchungen der Aristolochiasäure und die bakteriologische Prüfung der antibiotischen Substanz erweitert. Notizen über galenische Zubereitungen sind am Schluß hinzugefügt.
Als praktische Schlußfolgerung kann durch diese Arbeit die wundheilende Wirkung durch neu in der Pflanze aufgefundene Stoffe erklärt werden. Eine innerliche Anwendung der Droge erscheint weiterhin problematisch, solange nicht ausführlichste pharmakologische und klinische Untersuchungen vorliegen.
Summary
A comprehensive history of the development of Aristolochia clematitis as medicinal plant is presented. The summarized description of pharmacological and therapeutical problems is amplified by own pharmaceutical investigations carried out on aristolochia acid and a bacteriological examination of the antibiotic substance. A glossary on methods of preparation as prescribed by Galenus is appended.
The practical result of the present paper is the explanation of healing effects by substances newly discovered in the plant under examination. Oral administration of the drug still continues to offer something in the nature of a problem pending availability of results of exhaustive pharmacological and clinical investigations.
