Summary
The flavones, 5–hydroxy–3',4',7–trimethoxyflavone and 5–hydroxy–4'7–dimethoxyflavone, have been identified as the major flavonid components of the fruits of Piper peepuloides Roxb. The former is reported as a naturally occuring compound for the first time, the latter has already been reported in birch buds.
