Summary

The seed saponin of P. dulce has been found to consist of oleanolic and echinocystic acids as sapogenins and the sugar moiety in the sequence of xylose, arabinose and glucose. The leaves yield β–D–glucoside of α–spinasterol, α–spinasterol, octacosanol, kaempferol–3–rhamnoside and kaempferol.

Das Saponin der Samen von Pithecolobium dulce besteht aus Oleanolsäure und Echinocystinsäure als Sapogenine und der Zuckersequenz Xylose, Arabinose und Glukose. Die Blätter enthalten β–D–Glukoside von α–Spinasterol, α–Spinasterol Octacosanol, Kämpferoi–3–Rhamnosid und Kämpferoi.
