Abstract

Aqueous extracts from shallot (Allium ascalonicum) bulbs which had been found to have significant activity against P388 leukemia in mice were analyzed chemically. The extracts yielded a high concentration of carbohydrates and a full spectrum of amino acids on hydrolysis.
