Abstract

Four phloroglucinol derivatives (katnalins) have been isolated from Mallotus philippinensis. These are rottlerin (la), isoallorottlerin (II), the „red compound” (111) and the „yellow compound” (IV). In addition methylene-bis-methylphloroacetophenone (V) has been detected by TLC. The natural occurence of these substances is discussed.

Résumé

Quatre dérivés phloroglucinoliques (kamalines) ont été isolés de Mallotus philippinensis. Ils sont la rottlérine (la), l'isoallorottlérine (II), la „substance rouge” (III), et la „substance jaune” (TV). De plus, le méthylène-bis-méthylphloroacétophénone (V) a été détecté par la CCM. L'existence naturelle des ces substances est discutée.
