Abstract

With the Multi–TAS–Oven we separated the volatile components from single fruits of Anethum graveolens (Dill seed), Foeniculum vulgäre (Fennel seed) and Ammi majus and evaluated these semi-quantitatively according to the size of their zones. Even within the same stage of development, the content varies highly from fruit to fruit (cremocarps) and is different also within the two mericarps of one and the same cremocarp. In the fruits of Ammi majus we found the highest content of Furocoumarin in the still green fruits that had not yet reached their full size, decreasing rapidly with continuing development.
