Abstract

In rats treated with ACTH for 14 days, 24 hours after the last injection the plasma transcortin level is low. The biological half-life of corticosterone is of the same duration as in the controls; transcortin leaves it unaffected. The distribution volume of corticosterone is significantly higher in the treated than in the control animals and transcortin decreases it in both groups.
