Significance

Building on previous work, the authors extend the scope of the palladium-catalyzed decarboxylative cyclization reaction of γ-methyl-idene-δ-valerolactones to include protected im-ines as cyclization partners (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2007, 129, 12356).
