The rapid analysis and identification of prenylflavonoids in Sophora flavescens roots by on flow LC-NMR/MS
The hyphenated techniques of LC-NMR/MS are increasingly used for phytochemical analysis. These techniques combine the separation power of HPLC with the structural information provided by NMR and MS. The major advantages over the traditional off-line techniques are rapidity and efficiency. The application of LC-NMR/MS and HPLC on-line ABTS antioxidant screening system for the direct identification of prenylflavonoids in Sophora flavescens has been studied. The antioxidant compounds of S. flavescens were revealed by HPLC on-line ABTS antioxidant screening system which composed of ABTS post-column derivatization. Six prenylflavonoids were identified as kushenol U (1), kurarinone (2), sophoraflavanone G (3), leachianone A (4), kuraridin (5), and kushenol A (6) using on flow LC-NMR/MS.
