The newest, 5th edition of the guidelines of the European Glaucoma Society 2020 has been shortened compared to the 4th edition and is more clinically focused. The main change compared to the previous version is that the recommendations are evidence based. In addition, two major additions have been made: (1) 16 key questions and (2) 12 stop signs to alert the clinician of potentially critical decisions have been added to the newest version of the guidelines.
