Indications of Okoubaka aubrevillei in oncological supportive care

Zusammenfassung

Der Ende des letzten Jahrhunderts entdeckte Okoubaka-aubrevillei-Stamm ist in homöopathischen Kreisen immer noch unzureichend bekannt. Ursprünglich bei der Behandlung von Lebensmittelvergiftungen angezeigt, ist seine Verwendung in der begleitenden onkologischen Behandlung neu. Die Synthese verschiedener existierender Prüfungen ermöglichte es uns, eine Materia medica für Okoubaka zusammenzustellen, in der es ähnliche Symptome zu Nux vomica und Arsenicum album zeigt. Die Ätiologie „nach einer Vergiftung“ und die Nähe zum Verdauungssystem haben uns in den letzten 10 Jahren veranlasst, es zur Verhinderung von chemotherapeutischen Nebenwirkungen zu verwenden. Wir haben es kurz vor und während jeder Chemotherapie bei ca. 1000 Patienten eingesetzt. Unsere klinische Erfahrung bestätigt die onkologische Indikation zur Vorbeugung der gastroenterologischen Toxizität einer Chemotherapie, wie Übelkeit oder Durchfall. Die Veröffentlichung klinischer Fälle oder sogar klinischer Studien sollte es ermöglichen, die Verwendung in der Onkologie zu spezifizieren.

Summary

Discovered at the end of the last century, the okoubaka aubrevillei strain is still insufficiently known in homeopathic circles. Originally indicated in the treatment of food poisoning, its use in low dilution in oncology supportive care is recent.

The synthesis of different existing provings enabled us to put together a materia medica for okoubaka which puts it as a satellite of nux vomica and of arsenicum album. The aetiology “following an intoxication” and its digestive tropism has led us to use it in oncological supportive care for the past ten years. We have thus prescribed it to nearly a thousand patients just before and during each chemotherapy.

Our clinical experience confirms its indication in oncology for the prevention of digestive toxicity of chemotherapy, whether for nausea or diarrhoea. The publication of clinical cases, or even clinical studies, should make it possible to confirm and refine its use in supportive care.
