Die additiven Fertigungstechniken, die als 3-D-Druck zusammengefasst werden, haben in der Zahnmedizin und Zahntechnik bereits einen hohen Stellenwert innerhalb der letzten Jahre eingenommen. Im Bereich der prothetischen Versorgung stehen hier die Bereiche der Metallverarbeitung und des Kunststoffdrucks im Fokus. Diese beiden Herstellungsverfahren unterscheiden sich maßgeblich in der Umsetzung, jedoch für den Zahnarzt weniger in der Datenverarbeitung und Datenweitergabe. Im folgenden Artikel sollen im Überblick die Möglichkeiten und Verfahren kurz dargestellt sowie ein Ausblick auf neue Materialien gegeben werden.
