Diskushernien bei jungen aktiven Patienten, Sportlern und insbesondere professionellen Athleten stellen die behandelnden Physiotherapeuten und Orthopäden vor eine große Herausforderung. Spitzensportler sehen durch die Erkrankung die persönliche Karriere gefährdet. Folgender Artikel soll einen Überblick über die aktuelle Studienlage zur Behandlung von Diskushernien in dieser anspruchsvollen Patientengruppe geben.
