DIE BILDUNG DES ÄTHERISCHEN ÖLS BEI HETEROPLASTISCHEN UMBELLIFERENPFROPFUNGEN

Zusammenfassung

Das ätherische öl gepfropfter Umbelliferen wurde plattenchromatographisch untersucht, um Anhaltspunkte über den Entstehungsort der Vorstufen von Terpenen und Phenylpropankörpern zu gewinnen. Zu diesem Zweck wurden heteroplastische Wurzelpfropfungen mit Levisticum officinale Koch und Pe-troselinum sativum Hoffmannsegge durchgeführt. Bei der Pfropfsymbionte Petersilie auf Liebstock (P/L) kann man aus der veränderten Zusammensetzung des ätherischen Öles des Petersilienreises und aus seiner Ähnlichkeit mit dem Liebstocköl schließen, daß eine Wanderung von Wurzelstoffen von der Unterlage zum Reis stattgefunden hat, die den qualitativen Charakter des ätherischen Öls bestimmen.

Summary

In order to gather essential facts regarding the point of origin of the preliminary stages of terpenes and phenylpropane substances, the volatile oil of grafted umbelliferous plants has been examined by means of chromatographic plates. Heteroplastic root–grafts of Levisticum officinale Koch and Petroseli-num sativum Hoffmannsegge were carried out to that effect. As to the graft–symbiosis of a parsleyscion and a lovage–plant (P/L), it may be taken for granted that, owing to the modified combination of the parsleyscion's essential oil and its similarity to the lovage–plant, root–substances have wandered from the stem into the scion, thus altering the qualitative character of the essential oil.
