UNTERSUCHUNGEN ÜBER DIE GEWINNUNG VON NEBENALKALOIDEN DES MOHNS¹

Zusammenfassung

Es wurden die bisher benutzten Verfahren zur Gewinnung von Morphin und Nebenalkaloiden aus Mohnstroh bzw. Mohnkapseln besprodien. Die Verfasser beschäftigten sich mit der Isolierung von Nebenalkaloiden aus den bei der Gewinnung des Morphins aus Mohnkapseln anfallenden Restlaugen. Bei der Fällung des Morphins aus einem angesäuerten Mohnkapselextrakt in Gegenwart von Butanol gehen die Nebenalkaloide zum größten Teil in die Butanolschicht über. Es wird ein Verfahren beschrieben, das die Gewinnung von Codein und Narcotin aus der Butanollauge in guter Ausbeute ermöglicht.

Summary

The procedures used hitherto for the winning of morphine and residual alkaloids from poppy straw are discussed. The authors modified the method using precipitation of morphine from an acidified extract in the presence of butanol. Besides morphine the butanol layer contains the minor alkaloids codeine, narcotine, thebaine and papaverine. These can be withdrawn from the butanol by means of dilute sulfuric acid. The procedure described by the authors guararantees good yields of alkaloids.
