Abstract

On the basis of interactive forces between caffeine and μ–electron systems in aromatic hydrocarbons and in polyacetylenes a method has been developed, by which a better separation occurs when 10 per cent caffeine is added to silicagel than on silicagel alone. Furthermore, the interaction between the caffeine and the μ–electron systems means that less destruction occurs compared to silicagel layers without caffeine.
